Is CBDirect Federally Insured?

CBDirect is insured by the FDIC. Each depositor is insured to at least $100,000. Keep in mind that individual and joint accounts are insured separately, so if you have both types of accounts with us, your total deposits can be insured up to $200,000; that's up to $100,000 in all of your individual accounts, and up to an additional $100,000 in all of your joint accounts. Therefore, it is possible to have deposits of more than $100,000 at one insured bank and still be fully insured. How do I open an online savings account?

Opening an Online Savings Account is easy and convenient. Simply click on the Open Now button on our home page. You are eligible to open an account if you are at least 18 years old, have a valid tax identification number, and a legal US address. How will I know when my account is opened?

After you complete the application, you will receive an e-mail that lets you know your account has been approved. You will continue to receive e-mails about the steps you need to complete the application. When the steps are complete, a username will be sent to you via e-mail. You will also receive a temporary password delivered via U.S. mail.

How do I access my Online Savings Account?

Once you have completed the application process, your temporary username will be e-mailed to you, your password will be sent to you via U.S. mail. When you receive this information, you can login to Internet Banking by clicking on Log Into My Account and entering your login information.

How do I make deposits into CBDirect?TOP

You can logon to our site to access your account information and transfer funds electronically between your Online Savings Account and your linked account(s). Transfers are made via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) and usually take 2 to 4 business days. You can access your account information at CBDirect.com anytime by clicking View My Account.

Can I fund my account with a check?TOP

Yes. In the online application, you will be given the choice to either fund the account electronically or mail in a check. If you decide to mail in a check, the site will give you instructions as to where to mail the check and how it should be written.

How do you calculate the interest?TOP

Interest on the Online Savings Account is compounded daily and credited monthly. For more details, see our Account Disclosure.

How do I set up direct deposit with my CBDirect Savings Account?TOP

To set up direct deposit into your CBDirect Savings Account, simply provide the company initiating the direct deposit with the CBDirect Savings Account number and the ABA/Routing number (124302998), the name associated with the routing number is Centennial Bank.

When will my deposits be made available?TOP

Within Internet Banking, all funds transferred into your CBDirect Savings Account from an external bank account will be available to you within 3 business days of the transfer.

How long does it take for money I withdraw from my CBDirect Savings Account to appear in my linked account?TOP

Funds transferred via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) usually take from 2 to 4 business days, depending upon what time of day you initiated your transfer request. This is true for all external transfers into or out of your Online Savings Account.

How can I link other bank accounts to my CBDirect Savings Account?TOP

Within Internet Banking, select "Bank to Bank Transfer" and then choose "Add Accounts." You will be asked for the account number and routing number of the account you wish to add. Internet Banking will initiate a procedure to verify you are the owner of the account.

How do I transfer funds into my CBDirect account?TOP

While logged into Internet Banking, click on "Bank to Bank Transfer" and then Transfer Funds. Here you can transfer funds between your linked accounts and your CBDirect Savings Account. You may schedule one time transfers, or recurring transfers.

How do I set up regularly scheduled transfers into my Online Savings account?TOP

Once you are logged on, just click on the "Bank to Bank Transfer" tab. You can choose to make a one-time transfer, or schedule a recurring transfer between your savings account and your linked accounts.

How do I cancel a transfer initiated within internet banking?TOP

While logged into Internet Banking, click on “Bank To Bank Transfer” to view your transfer. You can click on “Cancel” as long as the transfer status is pending. After clicking on “Cancel,” you will be redirected to page where you will want to click on Yes to cancel the transaction from being processed.

How often will I receive a statement?TOP

You will receive an electronic statement delivered to your e-mail each month. You can see all your current transactions and balance information at any time by going to View My Account, at CBDirect.com.

What should I do if my address changes?TOP

Once logged into Internet Banking, choose “Bank To Bank Transfer” from the menu. Click on Edit your profile near the bottom of the page. Your profile will come up. Enter your new address and click submit.

What should I do if my e-mail address changes?TOP

Once logged into Internet Banking, choose “Bank To Bank Transfer” from the menu. Click on “Edit Profile” on the left side of the page. Click on “Add Email.” Type your email address into the box and click “Add.” This will send an email with a Validation Code to your new email address. Copy down this Validation Code and click on Validate. Enter the code into the box and click on submit. Next, select “User Options” and then “E-mail Address.” Type your new email address in the box and choose “Change e-mail address.”

Can I open an account with a beneficiary?TOP

Yes. Accounts, either individual or joint, with a single beneficiary can be opened using the online application.
